Notes:
- This 'back' link jumps
to the previous location, a helpful feature since this page may be
accessed from many different hyperlinks dispersed throughout the Hwo
pages, in a way that cannot be anticipated, making explicit Returns
impossible.
- The '?' hyperlink provides a bit of an explanation about the
preceding 'nBar' (Navigation BAR).
- This 'page' is a file that contains other sections that can be
accessed by scrolling down (past the full page 'white space used to
visually separate its sections) or by using the incorporated 'nBar'
tables. As of 2004-05-11, it is still a Work In Progress, since its
navigation is obviously incomplete, awaiting refinements, user tests
and peer review by other Authors.

Several different environments are being used to host this file and
its siblings. Specifically, these environments are:
| Env.
|
|
N: | - the www... interNet's public read/only pages.
| | W: | - wikiWeb - public read/write pages (via PhpWiki).
| | F: | - Forums - public, semi-private & private read/write Posts (via PhpBb).
| | S: | - hwoSec - private group(s) read/write pages via Net access.
| | I: | - corporate fIrewalled servers.
| | C: | - private loCal resources.
|

C:...\HwoW
...Ws\HwAa
...We\StartPage
File references that occure throughout all of these pages that
include a drive letter prefix will generally refer to one of these
environments and will be subject to the restrictions that apply in
that environment. For example:
- The preceding "N:" hyperlink will jump to this file's list of
the files that are currently available on the interNet.
- The prefix "W:" will jump to the Php Wiki, while the "F:"
will jump to the Forums @ DataFix.
- ... "S:" ... "I:" ...
- The prefix "C:"... indicates that the file it qualifies is a
private file situated on a local disk and that this hyperlink
reference will fail for all users that do not have access to the
drive letter.
This page is a published list of the published pages available via
the internet (the "N:" files), such as:
- hAlmanac - Hwo's 'Almanac' file. This
'master' file is evolving into a Content incubator, providing a
detailed introduction to other files.
- hWorkLoad - Hwo's planned WorkLoad, for
the information of Associates and Collaborators.
- template - The current template for
these files.
- photos - A few photographs taken by
hwo.
- hStyle - An explanation of Hwo's evolving Page styles.
- hIndex - I should move my emerging index into separate file(s),
having multiples simply to isolate those files that are restricted to
a subset of the environments. Alternatively, there may be some value
to letting people know what exists and providing them with an ability
to request access.
- ...
This page may be used as a Home page for this environment and the
files it contains.
Other files are being added as they adopt the NavigationBar (nBar)
and TitleBar (tBar) conventions of 2004-04-28 that are introduced by
this file's "?" hyperlink.
A brief, initial introduction to the symbols used in this
'navigationBar' (nBar) includes:
The nBar is a table, consisting of 1 row with three Columns
(creating cells), the middle one of which is another 'nested' table.
- The first "Ý" links to this file from
other files that are a part of this environment.
- The second cell, the nested table, is itself, another nested
table of one row and two columns, the first cell of which is also
a nested table of one row and five columns, specifically:
- The nested five cell table's symbols are all used within
the context of the current file with these uses:
- Ý - Jump to Top.
- Ü - Jump to Past Chapter
(if Chapters exist).
- Þ - Jump to Next Chapter,
eventually ending with Help, and cycling back to the
beginning of the file.
- ß - Jump to End or Bottom
of this file.
- ? - Local help for this file, generally incorporated
into the file's FDoreward chapter.
- The second column of the middle cell, 'PageList', is the
name of this file. In large files containing a Chapter and
Section structure, this cell will contain such nested
structure names.
- The third cell, the last "?", is reserved to be the highest
level of 'Help' that will apply to all of the files and Pages that
are members of all of the environments that adopt these
conventions, as opposed to other, internal "?" which provides
local help for the current Page (or file).
This file may host the proposed Global Help, at least initially.
It may make sense to move this introductory information into the
proposed Global Help file.
Compare this file's use of '[' and that of Almanac.
